Q: Where do I go if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?

A: If a student has documented food allergies/intolerances, special accommodations will be made through YSU Dining Services by Chartwells, and a personal consultation could be arranged for the student. More information can be found on the YSU Dining Services website located here: https://dineoncampus.com/ysu/dietary-restrictions

Q: What is the difference between Flex Dollars and Pete's Points?

A: Both of these are forms of payment that can be preloaded onto your student ID card (if you purchase a Meal Plan that includes Flex and Pete's, those amounts are automatically loaded onto your card). Each form is a dollar for dollar exchange; Example: 100 Pete's Points = 100 Dollars; 100 Flex = 100 Dollars. Every time you purchase something, the amount is deducted from your balance. The difference between the two is that Flex Dollars are accepted at all YSU Dining by Chartwells locations on campus, while Pete's Points are accepted at all campus dining locations, as well as at select locations off campus. Flex dollars and Pete's Points carry over, if not entirely used, from Fall to Spring semester, but not over the summer from Spring to next Fall. Flex and Pete's will only carry over in the spring semester if a meal plan is purchased.
